I love traveling even when it isn't exciting. On the other hand, the mutts are not super travelers but they tolerate us with our need to wander. Traveling with pets can be challenging at times, but keeping them happy and safe is our goal. Once we stop, they love camping, it's their home moving that bothers them.
Our goal is to visit all 32 Major League parks. It may take years to complete the journey but we will try to get it done! Stadium #1 of 32 -- Atlanta Braves hosted the San Francisco Giants on May 6, 2018 at SunTrust Stadium.
We are getting prepared for our journey from Florida to Virginia then to Maine and New Hampshire. The plan along the way it to hit baseball parks, historical sites and just to enjoy the ride.
For my mother's birthday, we took a boat ride on Lake Dora in Mount Dora, Florida. The ride took us across the lake through the Dora Canal, which felt tropical and was teaming with wildlife.
A trip to Blue Spring State park to see the manatee's Winter home. Manatees are beautiful creatures, slow moving and stately. They were mistaken for mermaids by Christopher Columbus in 1493. The waters of the Blue Spring stay warm during the Winter from mid November to mid March when the leave again for the ocean waters. The spring can have hundreds of manatees during the peak in January.
We couldn't wait for the Baseball season to start so we headed down to see some Spring Training games near Clermont.
Our October trip South to Florida. We didn't take the time to stop and "smell the Roses" but had some fun on the way.
